1. The personal data collected will be used for recruiting members, including but not limited to assessing your suitability to the society you are applying for and determining benefit packages, where applicable.

2. The completion of all items on this application form is obligatory for selection purposes, except those items clearly marked as optional herein. The processing and outcome of your application may be affected if you fail to provide these data.

3. It is our policy to retain the personal data of all successful applicants until the termination of membership. Information of all unsuccessful applicants will be destroyed.

4. Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap.486, Laws of Hong Kong), you are entitled to request access to and/or correction of your personal data in relation to your application. Please contact the committee at event.soc@polyu.edu.hk, if you wish to make such request.
